ARHA monitors and critiques all major emerging policies within Australia and the region relating to sexual and reproductive health issues.
White Paper A major focus of recent months for ARHA has been the development and release of the new White Paper on the Australian Government's Overseas Aid Program. This White Paper entitled 'Australian Aid: Promoting Growth and Stability' sets the broad objectives for the aid program over the medium term (ten years).
Undoubtedly, as a result of consultations with NGOs and civil society throughout 2005, which ARHA was an important part of (see our submission page for ARHA's contributions), there have been some important changes flagged for the coming years. Of particular interest to ARHA is the increased investment in maternal, sexual and reproductive health services and a re-affirmation of gender equality as a core value of the Australian aid program.

ARHA promotes research relating to the development of family planning and other reproductive health services. ARHA also publishes a series of occasional papers. The papers can be viewed on the submissions and papers page.
